Connecticut is a picturesque state where people enjoy the outdoors, including forests, rivers, lakes and an extensive shoreline. The reporter focuses on Connecticut’s environment and explores how climate change is affecting its land, residents and services. The reporter works on people-centered stories and follows mitigation efforts. This radio and digital reporter is part of Connecticut Public’s collaborative newsroom, including visual and social media journalists, talk shows and an investigative unit.

Salary and Benefits:
$50,000-$55,000

Medical, dental, vision coverage. 403(b) with 2% company match. H.S.A. Long-term disability, short-term disability and term life insurance. Paid time off annually: 15 vacation days, prorated based on hire date and accrued monthly. 10 holiday days. 2 personal days, prorated based on hire date, but available immediately. 8 sick days, available immediately. Company-issued laptop and audio recording equipment.

This position will be:
Hybrid (some days in the office per week)

Moving Stipend:
Varies. Typically up to $5,000, depending on reporter’s current residence.
