Editor, Localized Content (Freelance)

The Editor of Localized Content role supports the editorial team at ConsumerAffairs by providing quality assurance for localized, automated content. This editor collaborates with and receives feedback from the Associate Editor. Although this work will be focused on company profiles for auto dealerships, more work on different projects may be available in the future (pay rate based on project).

Responsibilities:

Copy edit localized automated content to ensure accuracy, clarity and readability
Adhere to the AP Stylebook as well as the ConsumerAffairs in-house style guide
Use AI tools to confirm locations are in specified regions and other details
Incorporate editorial feedback and adapt to new processes as they improve
Improve processes by compiling written feedback about fact-checker performance
Assist in the publication of 300 or more automated local profiles per month

Requirements

The ideal candidate:

Has experience editing in AP Style
Is familiar with SEO best practices
Works independently to manage time and meet KPIs

Benefits

Pay: $35 per hour

Hours per week: Up to 40
