Aboout the role

We are seeking a Content Manager to join a highly ambitious content team at Confused.com. We are looking for someone to deliver and maintain our editorial content strategy, increasing the visibility and value of editorial content across multiple marketing channels from SEO to CRM. You’ll be responsible for the workflow management of the editorial content production process and managing, supporting and developing the content team.

Content forms an important part of the journey for Confused.com customers, helping remove the confusions around financial products and services. You will lead and help build a team of content specialists working both to ensure all content produced by us is of the highest quality as well as driving forward our content agenda of being customer focused and driving up our engagement.

What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with the SEO manager to develop and maintain the long-term content strategy to meet the needs of marketing channels
Working with product teams to make sure content is accurate, data rich, insightful and factually correct
Creating, maintaining and optimising editorial production workflow to improve efficiency and quality
Oversight and management of email marketing content
Leading and briefing the content team on best practice for creating new and updating existing content
Creating different forms of engaging and informative content that generates traffic and fits the needs of the requesting team e.g. SEO, PR, email, social
Working with SEO and design teams utilising content design best practices to create content that works for users
Using data to analyse and report on the performance and effectiveness of content
Staying on top of market changes and updates in insurance to help deliver complex messages in a simple way to our users
Ensuring all editorial content adheres to compliance guidelines and follows sign-off procedures where needed
Building and developing your authorship profile internally and externally where possible, including through the completion of relevant training and accreditation

Requirements

Experience representing content in a marketing function
Creative - can strategise different content mediums and forms using specialists to support
Strong leadership skills and management experience to coach and mentor staff as well
Data-driven - focused on continuous improvement using data as well as analysing impact of content inputs
Ability to prioritise requests, manage stakeholders based on business needs and the availability of content resource
Experience in the insurance area (Car, Home and lifestyle) with market knowledge and expertise highly desirable
