Are you our future content writer?
We’re looking for an all-star content writer to join our growing team as the owner of our inbound content marketing initiatives. Your goal will be to help us drive qualified traffic, leads, and sales by establishing our companies (AC Architects & AC Structures) as the #1 trusted authority in our sectors.

Our content writer must have a passion for writing and storytelling with a journalist’s mindset, as well as an obsession with written content performance, content management, and analytics.

Position summary: The successful candidate will take responsibility for gathering, creating and writing all blog articles for the fast-paced industry of self-build. They will be responsible for conducting interviews with subject matter experts within and out with the business and using this information to create articles to inform new and potential clients.


Reports to: Company Content Manager
Successful candidates will be ask to submit: a CV, an example of writing and a personal video statement.

Core responsibilities:
Own the content strategy that allows for consistent publication of the types of content that drives revenue and significantly impacts sales.
Produce at least three new written pieces of content per week.
Interview internal subject matter experts for content.
Edit, proofread and improve writers’ (and other contributors) posts.
Work closely with revenue team to identify content topics and develop editorial calendar.
Produce premium content in the form of blogs/articles.
Professional development and continued education in relevant areas (e.g., content technology, HubSpot certifications, writing proficiency).

Additional responsibilities:
Assist in search engine optimization (SEO) efforts for website and content.
Distribute content via social media for community engagement and long-term content promotion.
Direct company email marketing efforts, including newsletters and automated workflows.
Rely on content analytics and reporting to inform decisions.
Create blog outline in WordPress or HubSpot, insert images, check SEO and publish.

Educational background

A degree in English, Journalism, and Public Relations is highly preferred but not mandatory. Commensurate experience will be considered.

Skills and required knowledge

A true passion for writing.
Impeccable writing and editorial skills, with an outstanding command of the English language.
An understanding of common editorial style guides, e.g. AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, etc.
Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content.
Skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaigns.
Incredible people skills.
Has experience with programs such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, WordPress and SEMRush.
Has interview skills and is a curious and thoughtful listener.
Understands how to use data to inform all strategic decisions.
Operates well with giving and receiving feedback.
Has a team mentality.


Salary: Competitive Salary (dependent on experience)

Hours:
· Minimum of 3 days per week

· Hybrid working with at least 2 days per month office based.
