Job Description

The role:

Creates the Content and Copy strategy to drive awareness, consideration, engagement and conversion, across all audiences and channels. Leads the production of compelling content and copy across all audiences and channels. Own and develop our brand tone of voice at all touchpoints, supporting all areas of the business to deliver it internally and externally

Day to day activity:

Create develop and own a content strategy to support the delivery of the company business plan and its distribution channel targets across all channels
Collaborate with Senior Marketing Team (Brand, Comms, PR, Social, Design and Digital) to create compelling and engaging content, relevant and targeted for each audience and channel
Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to plan, develop and optimise onsite content for SEO and UX opportunities
Ensure all content produced is measured and reported on; reporting on the content holistically across all channels. Utilise this to inform future content.
Develop and own a content calendar aligned to business plan and support delivery of growth objectives
Produce a wide variety of copy and content for multiple audiences including long and short copy, scriptwriting and AV development, customer communications and campaign concepts
Liaise with senior stakeholders across the business to generate ideas, create buy in and delivery of the content strategy and associated plans.
Manages the content agency relationship (and other 3rd parties) ensuring agency are adhering to contractual agreements and optimising performance
Own and develop Together’s tone of voice and copy style guides to ensure consistency
Supporting all areas of the business with quality writing, while educating and emphasising the importance and value of consistently delivering our brand tone.
Work with Customer Experience to understand the role of copy and content in the wider customer journey.
Own the content budget and forecasting in line with process.
Manage content through the workflow system, ensuring deadlines and process is adhered to for the content team
Review copy produced by external suppliers to ensure our brand tone shines through.
Develop, own and maintain copy and A/V style guides.
Accountable for consistency and clarity in all communications to ensure simplicity, brand fit and impact. Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to
Ensure all content is regulatory compliant.
Lead major projects relevant to content within Together
Deputise for Senior Brand Manager as required

Essential skills and experience:

5+ years’ experience of professional copywriting.
Strong copywriting skills with ability to write for multiple channels and audiences.
Creatively strong with ability to generate ideas.
Sound understanding of SEO best practices to produce SEO rich content.
Ability to see the bigger picture when answering content and copy briefs.
Ability to write on brand copy closely following brand guidelines.
Ability to write across all formats with a joined up tone of voice.
Strong communication skills and ability to build good working relationships with internal colleagues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with solid knowledge of English grammar
Experience of writing in a regulated environment.

Desirable skills and experience:

Experience within financial services
Understanding of the regulatory environment for lending
Experience of both B2B and B2C marketing
