The Roanoke Times is seeking a full-time copy editor to edit local content, copy from other Lee Enterprises papers in our state, and wire content for print and online presentation. The copy editor also will serve as a local page coordinator with our national design desk, and must be able to plan and execute page designs in clear communication with the design center. Ability to meet a deadline, to write captivating headlines for both print and digital, and to edit content for grammar, spelling and AP style are essential. The position also includes editing and posting copy, photos and video for online. The job requires working nights, weekends and, on occasion, holidays.
