The Parish Group is seeking a project-based copywriter (remote considered) with experience in marketing and higher education marketing. This position would start in the new year (2024).
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years of experience in developing marketing campaign copy. This should include developing emails, postcards, letters, and brochures. Skill in writing variable copy, scripts, and merge fields would be useful in this role. A working knowledge of the higher education admissions industry is critical.
Responsibilities Will Include:
Copywriting for client projects
Research into partner schools to best inform writing
Interviewing students, alumni, and staff for quotes
Implementing client change requests to copy
Collaborating with design team
Attending client kick-off meetings and additional meetings as needed
Potential for travel to client institutions (and TPG headquarters if remote)
Skills We’d Like to See:
Strong short- and long-form writing skills
Friendly, customer-service oriented approach
A love for and firm understanding of grammar
Working knowledge of Monday.com and Adobe products
Ability to conduct independent research
Timely execution of projects
Higher ed communication experience
Adaptability to ever-changing industry and client needs
Collaborative spirit that welcomes feedback and critique
Capability to execute writing assignments autonomously
Hours: Project-based
Location: Asheville, NC (remote considered)
Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree
