As the market leader in a growing category, the Copywriter will assist the Senior PR & Communications Manager in defining content ideation, strategy and implementation for creative campaigns and business copy requirements including managing the monthly content calendar for the PetSure, GapOnly, petinsurance.com.au and Oodle brands and other affiliate brands.
The Copywriter will be open to using technology such as Chat GPT/AI to develop initial content outlines where relevant, to help fast-track the content writing process.
The Copywriter will be the gatekeeper of the Brand Tone of Voice (TOV) guidelines across all brands, by ensuring that all content adheres to these guidelines.
Specifically, as the Content and Social Media Manager you would be accountable for:
Lead content planning meetings with the marketing team to share content and campaign progress updates and identify content opportunities across the brands
Define monthly content calendars in collaboration with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts
Identify required assets required for content pieces from the business and external sources, for example customer testimonials, artwork or claims data highlights and brief internal stakeholders
Staying across news and industry trends to help inform content ideas and direction
Conduct industry research and leverage ChatGPT/AI to generate initial content outlines for a variety digital and traditional medium including website articles, thought leadership pieces, industry reports, email/Edms and newsletters across the all brands in the relevant tone of voice
When using AI to generate a content outline, identify opportunities to add Petsure data or insights to enrich the value and originality of content. Consult internal stakeholders, including Vet Advisors / Provider Management for expertise and input.
Proofread and edit copy drafted by other team members to ensure the content aligns with editorial and Brand Tone of Voice (TOV) guidelines, in addition to PetSure’s strategic direction. Ensure digital website copy is optimised for SEO and mobile
Review and fact-check content to ensure it is free from factual errors. Ensure content is signed off by the relevant stakeholders.
Briefing and liaising with external contractors (i.e. video editors) and campaign participants to ensure campaign requirements are delivered to a high standard on time
Manage content approvals with the compliance team, as required
Select article imagery & publish article directly to website via Wordpress CMS
Follow best practice with SEO when publishing articles to the website
What you’ll need to be successful:
Excellent writing and communication skills with a proven track record of writing short and long-form copy, across a variety of formats
Experience with using AI/Chat GPT for initial content creation
Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing, including knowledge of emerging channels like Tiktok
Experience with social media scheduling and listening platforms
SEO knowledge and experience preferred, but not essential
Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
Good people skills and ability to form close working and professional relationships across all levels of the company
Pet parent or pet advocate
