The Global Marketing team brings to life the unique promise of portfolio of brands by defining, creating, and delivering exceptional multi-channel marketing campaigns designed to drive business results.
What will I be doing?
The Co-Brand Sr. Copywriter will join our hardworking in-house creative team to support American Express partnership and associated credit card products. You will help craft creative strategies, concepts, and messaging for consumer campaigns with the goal of increasing customer acquisition and engagement. The most common types of projects you can expect to work on are emails, direct mail, banner ads, social posts, app placements, and large offer-based campaigns.
The ideal candidate will have technical copywriting experience with loyalty programs and/or the financial industry.
More specifically, you will:
• Proactively understand and gain knowledge of our business, brands, target audiences, and competitor activities.
• Collaborate with the creative team responsible for developing the Honors and American Express co-branded marketing, seeing all projects through from concept, design, production, completion, and delivery. Partner closely with account managers to keep all projects on track.
• Partner with the ACD/Design team/Copy Lead to develop compelling creative solutions across omni-platform touchpoints with a customer-first lens. Effectively communicate the strategic intent for each tactic while adhering to American Express requirements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to interpret and action on creative briefs.
• Develop creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with the Art Directors and designers.
• Write clear, persuasive, original copy through the various iterations of the project while adhering to American Express requirements.
• Present and provide business rationale for creative ideas to our internal stakeholders for approval and development.
• Evolve, revise, or redevelop creativity in response to feedback from the ACD or internal stakeholders.
• Use campaign performance data to understand the effectiveness of campaigns and apply key takeaways to future campaigns.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
• Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant Copywriting experience, preferably in an agency environment or in-house creative department
• Experience writing for the financial services, medical or pharmaceutical industries, technical writing, or related fields
• Experience writing for Acquisition, Retention, B2B, Performance, or Direct Response audiences
• Strong copy-editing skills
• Comfort working on a range of projects from short-form (like headlines) to longer-form (like brand positioning)
• A standout portfolio that demonstrates creative thinking, storytelling, brand, and campaign development would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinction.

• Experience working with a marketing department, understanding of business goals, and can find creative solutions to help achieve objectives
• Experience working on direct response materials and writing for a range of marketing platforms, including email, banner ads, social, landing pages, print collateral, television
• Experience in hospitality or consumer brands
• BA/BS Bachelor's Degree in English, Communication, Journalism or a related field
