Baylor Line is seeking a contract copywriter to contribute to our editorial product. This position will report to the editor-in-chief and will assist to deliver our 75-year-old responsibility to serve as the outlet of record for the Baylor Family. This opening comes at an especially exciting time as BL celebrates its 75th year of publishing and heads into a new, hyperactive season of strategy transition and aggressive subscriber acquisition. We’re looking to refresh our approach to digital publishing and its relationship to our existing and ideal audiences. In all this, our commitment is still to be the best storytelling outlet in the Baylor Family, covering beyond campus for every Bear, while also continuing to honor the tremendous wealth of reporting in our 75-year history..
The copywriter will:
Transcribe existing reported stories from our archives to be published digitally
Assist in tracking, codifying, and selecting stories to digitize from our archives
Compile, format, and schedule archive stories for republication online
This is a part-time position available to current Baylor students or anyone in the US. It is completely remote with the opportunity for flexible hours and work locations. Compensation is based on word count.
