As the Copywriter, you’ll play a key role in blending the brand narrative and marketing strategy to tell powerful stories, drive awareness, interest, and conversion. Develop and maintain consistent 360 marketing copy across all channels.
You’ll be responsible for writing crisp, clear, and concise copy for overall seasonal campaigns, website, product descriptions, paid acquisition ads, CTV ad conception, organic social media, retail, and other marketing materials. The purpose of the copy is to get customers to take action. The main goal is to persuade the target audience to buy our product, signup for email/sms, etc. The copy ends with a clear call to action.
What you’ll do:
Develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice. Develop and create effective, engaging concepts that support business objectives.
Understand marketing/creative goals and brand voice to generate copy that promotes the company
Collaborate with creative and other cross-functional teams to determine the conceptual and copy direction of branding and deliver messaging for online, retail, print, email, mobile, organic and paid social, video, and more.
Ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style. Create copy that adheres to established brand voice, tone, and guidelines while optimizing SEO best practices.
Own primary responsibility for the voice of Rhone, ensuring all creative ideas are aligned to strategic briefs.
Create compelling product and promotional stories. Write compelling (and SEO-optimized) product titles, keywords, and descriptions as new products are released. Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach.
Work with Marketing Team Leads to understand each customer segment. Write seasonal and evergreen campaign copy that speaks to the target audience based on briefs to support. Actively research our customers and competitors to find the best way to present our product and execute compelling storytelling and narratives seasonally and for live campaigns
Ensure accuracy in content, grammar, and punctuation. Edit and proofread copy as needed
Contribute to style guides and rubrics for copy across all channels. Create a process where all copy is established, maintained, and accessible. (ie copy decks). Maintain Copy Library and messaging guide.
Stay on the cutting edge of culture, current events, and competitors as well as trends in marketing, content, digital, and advertising.
What you’ll bring:
3-5 years of experience, preferably in the apparel industry
Ability to be a self-starter capable of operating semi-autonomously but always collaboratively
Strong interpersonal communication skills, particularly in delivering data-driven insights with the ability to communicate openly and easily
Impeccable attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
Strong computer skills required including MS Office, GSuite, and related business and communication tools
The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision
