Assistant Content Manager

Crain’s Content Studio is seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented communications professional to join its team of award-winning branded content creators, assisting with managing campaigns for our business partners across a variety of platforms — from digital and print publishing to video and virtual or live events.

This individual will be an organized project manager and editor with flawless communication skills, a positive mindset and a record for working with client campaigns. This person should have proven abilities to multitask, pivot and problem-solve: a typical day might include gathering client assets for a campaign launch, writing a script for an upcoming webcast, building a timeline for a new project and drafting native ad copy to promote a content series.

This position reports to the Content Manager and will work with the Content Studio team as well as sales, marketing, digital and research teams at Crain’s Chicago Business, Crain’s Cleveland Business, Crain’s Detroit Business, Crain’s Grand Rapids Business and Crain’s New York Business. This is a hybrid position with 3 days required in one of our City Brand offices.

Responsibilities:

Assist with management of branded content campaigns across multiple platforms.
Build project timelines based on templates; track progress of project through deadline.
Serve as liaison with client, kicking off projects, gathering assets and and keeping projects on track.
Assist Content Managers with editing and writing, including promotional copy writing.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a professional communications role managing content projects
Flawless communication skills

Preferences:

Experience working in B to B publishing or media

This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Pay Transparency Disclosure:

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000.00.

The final salary offering will take into account a wide range of factors, including experience, accomplishments and location. The salary range provided should not be considered as a salary limit or cap.
