Here at Eleven Miles, we work with everyone from finger lickin’ chicken and skate icons to high finance and technology brands. We write a smorgasbord of copy for their brand, content, technology and social media campaigns every day.
The opportunity for you is to join our agency’s creative department as a vital member of the copy team. You’ll be the go-to person for bold ideas and razor-sharp words for scripts, ads, social content…and a whole lot more besides. Your ideas and words will help transform how our clients’ brands, products and services are thought of. So you’ll need to be able to work with strategists to find new and powerful ways to persuade and provoke responses.
Requirements
You’ll be responsible for developing and presenting campaign concepts alongside other experienced creatives, before taking your ideas through to meticulously crafted copy. Ensuring your brilliant writing skills lead to our clients singing your praises.
Plus we’ll need you to:
Take the initiative to get under the skin of the brands you’ll be writing for. Understand their audiences, what makes them tick, what are their fears, who are the competitors, what do they need, what do they read, watch, and are inspired by.
Stay tuned in to the world around you and a step ahead of constantly evolving trends in social media.
Be the voice for our client’s brands. We need you to be a copy chameleon and be flexible and able to shift your tone of voice and writing style to adapt to different clients, stakeholders and audiences.
Own the copy quality from start to finish. Sharing your approach and thinking with the creative leadership to ensure you’re not straying too far from the path.
Push the possibilities of what the client could say. That means you’ll be the type of writer who is never satisfied with the 1st draft, or 2nd for that matter. You’ll be looking for the best way to get your copy and content out there.
You’ll be someone who takes feedback as constructive, not a criticism. Words are hard to get right all the time, so be someone who wants to work with others (even our clients) to dial in the narratives, and craft something that’s on the money.
Clients love talking to creatives and writers about the words they choose, and how they’ve constructed their content or copy. We’ll expect you to be passionate and want to discuss and work with our clients to shape and hone the work.
