Emerging Journalist Fellow - Arts & Culture

New Posted 21 September 2022 | Seattle, Washington | Crosscut.com

The six-month fellowship is program designed to jumpstart the career of a new professional at a time when local journalism is both increasingly vital and threatened. We hope that the fellow will also help create journalism that is more representative of the communities we serve with Crosscut and our sister organization, KCTS 9 public television, while demonstrating CPM’s values of integrity, community, innovation and diversity. The emerging journalist fellow will be placed with our arts and culture team. They will focus on developing their skills in arts journalism, with an emphasis on narrative storytelling, while also working with journalists throughout the newsroom to develop additional skills in audio and video storytelling, as well as audience engagement. Through this work, the fellow will gain a better understanding of the collaborative process required to produce compelling and impactful journalism across various media.
