Writer / Researcher

Cultureshock is a creative media agency with more than 20 years of experience working with cultural institutions and their partners, including global brands, hotels and luxury lifestyle clients.

We have more than 30 creative and publishing specialists in our London office, as well as representatives in LA and New York, many of whom have worked with some of the leading brands in the world.

About the role

Cultureshock is looking for an early-career writer and researcher to join our editorial team, to work across print and digital client publishing. The candidate must be willing to liaise directly with clients and undertake general editorial assistance duties, and ideally would like to develop into an editing role.

Required qualifications and experience

A recognised journalism qualification (NCTJ or equivalent)
A recognised qualification or experience working in the arts sector
Three years or more experience in a professional editorial role

The candidate must also

Be a fast, stylish writer
Have excellent communication skills
Demonstrate a good knowledge of and interest in the arts

Desirable qualifications/attributes

Good knowledge of fine art

The role covers

Writing articles and interviews for magazines
Producing digital marketing copy
Fact-checking
Maintaining a cultural forward diary
Research for pitches and tenders
General administrative assistance for the editorial team

The role reports directly to the head of editorial.
