Cycling Weekly has been keeping bike riders up to date with news, tech and fitness for over 130-years. This is an online role, where you’ll be guiding its tech team in delivering tech news, reviews and buying guides to readers.

What you'll be doing...

As Tech Editor, you'll assist the digital and magazine editors in leading and coordinating all tech content for Cycling Weekly website and the magazine, as well as having your own writing responsibilities. The Tech Editor is a key role in driving all of Cycling Weekly’s content forward, delivering tech news and features which resonate with our audience both digital and print, as well as in-depth reviews and comparative buying guides and driving ecommerce strategy.

You'll be involved with tech focused content produced for our YouTube channel, work closely with the magazine editor to ensure that magazine deadlines are met, effectively manage staff writers and freelancers to ensure that resource is allocated effectively to cover both online and print requirements, help mentor and develop junior members of the editorial team and commission regular features and develop ideas with freelancers.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

Strong technical knowledge of bicycles and equipment.
Ability to use a CMS system and Google Analytics.
Track record in digital and print journalism.
Organisational and time-management skills.
Good industry contacts.
Ability to handle difficult conversations - such as the aftermath of an unfavourable review.

The expected range for this role is £29,000 - £35,000.
