MailOnline is seeking Social Video Producers to transform compelling news and pop culture stories into engaging social video content. Candidates will source, package and publish video from our fast-paced New York City newsroom, telling popular stories to millions of people around the world.
You will have your finger on the pulse of trending topics that resonate with our target audience across social platforms including TikTok and Facebook. As part of our global Social Video team, your insights, creativity, and understanding of what young people are talking about online will shape our approach, ensuring MailOnline remains the number one news brand on social.
Specialisms in topics including World News, Crime, Politics, Showbiz, Gaming, Lifestyle and more are welcome but not strictly necessary.
Responsibilities:
Source, script, and produce video content for social media platforms.
Write engaging copy to maximize user engagement and retention.
Analyze performance data to refine content strategies.
Collaborate with teams across the company to create popular video content.
Keep up-to-date with social media trends and platform updates.
Required Skills & Qualities
Familiarity with Daily Mail’s content on TikTok and Facebook.
Skilled using Adobe Premiere or CapCut with After Effects as an advantage.
Experience in content creation for social media accounts.
Ability to shoot video, both in studio and in the field.
Adept video editor with attention to detail.
Flexibility and adaptability to match the dynamic nature of a busy newsroom environment.
