Data and Enterprise Reporter

A reporter with data and enterprising chops – or one who wants to prove it – is perfect for this new data and enterprise reporter position at our family-owned, award-winning newspaper in Northwest Connecticut. Based in Waterbury, this reporter scours local data and issues for stories of impact, trends and issues that nobody else will dig up for our readers. This reporter must demonstrate an ability to handle and analyze data, must not shirk from numbers and math, and must thrive in seeing stories that often root under the news of the day. Some of that data may come from collecting proprietary lists of information about our region, and identifying stories that surface from them. This job is not all project – this reporter will have opportunities to dive into breaking news related to stories that shape our cities and towns, working collaboratively with reporters, editors and our librarian both online and in print.
