The role sits within a team of analysts and data scientists, who are delivering industry-leading data products and services into the property industry, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the fast-paced and expanding world of data analytics and data science.

The Rightmove Data Services team has a diverse client base ranging from small property surveying firms to some of the largest financial institutions in Europe. We supply these customers with a suite of products that cover property valuations via our Automated Valuation Model (AVM), predictive analytics, and a range of bespoke data reports and services - all based on our market-leading residential and commercial property dataset and powered by cutting edge data science and analytics.

Working within the Data Services team you will have responsibility for collating relevant research and derived data before translating into actionable insights using contextual commentary. Your work will help our customers make informed decisions based on the presented trends and property market dynamics. A typical week as a Data Insights Editor might involve

Working alongside our team of data analysts and scientists to produce insightful reports and case studies
Working with the Head of Insights to help shape and innovate the data service reporting roadmap
Working with the commercial teams to interpret customers’ requirements into suitable reports and visualisations
Maintaining a catalogue of data stories and research pieces and presenting these insights to internal stakeholders
Provide in-depth insights into local and national property markets, including market trends, property values, investment opportunities, and other relevant information.
Working with the PR department to provide interesting property market-related data content for media publication
Producing bespoke reports and commentary on the property market for key internal stakeholders and external customers
To provide a quality assurance function to ensure insight reports for internal and external use are accurate, professional and aesthetically produced
Liaising with account managers, sales teams and the team director to support and scope out reporting proposition and product requirements
Present data-driven insights using charts, graphs, infographics, and other visual aids to make complex property data more accessible and understandable to a wide audience.

We’re looking for someone who

Has excellent numerical and analytical skills and is confident explaining complex ideas clearly
A degree in mathematics or a mathematics-related subject
Can review and edit your own work to maintain consistent quality and accuracy in all content pieces
Experience in data story-telling through the creation of PDF, PowerPoint presentations or similar-type decks
Can easily manipulate large amounts of data both in databases and using analytical software
A passion for data, statistics and innovation
Can take an idea and run with it and deliver interesting and reliable analysis to answer a specific question
Has the ability to challenge and question ideas, openly and honestly, whilst providing solutions and options
Is able to work on their own initiative, planning and prioritise their time with minimal supervision
