Deputy Editor

This incredibly varied deputy editor role will see you working mainly from home, but the position has an active social aspect due to press launches, meeting and events and will need to be able to get into London easily. You will also be expected to attend regular get-togethers with the editorial director, digital team and also the wider team as a whole. There will also be some international travel. This is perfect for a current section editor on a trade title, or an ambitious writer wanting more responsibility and to take that next step up. You will need more than five years' previous experience working in editorial or potentially PR, with excellent writing and inter-personal skills and confidence in liaising with commercial partners and handling projects with advertisers. You will also be comfortable presenting - on screen and on stage - as you will be the face of the brand at some events. Knowledge of programmes such as WordPress, Photoshop and social media platforms, along with general experience of creating social media content, a distinct advantage. You will also have excellent organisational and time management skills and will enjoy working hands-on in a fun, creative industry as part of a busy, friendly team.
