The Deputy MLB Editor will be responsible for providing coverage for all MLB content, ranging from the MLB Draft to World Series to prospects and other levels of baseball. The candidate will be able to develop and execute plans for the season, including major events. Such events include the MLB All-Star Game, free agency, trade deadline news, etc. The Deputy MLB Editor must be able to provide expert analysis for fantasy baseball and sports betting. This candidate will also help execute daily content plans, including basic SEO stories, betting picks and fantasy baseball articles. The Deputy MLB Editor should be able to leverage these content plans/ideas against a full-time/part-time news desk staff. The Deputy MLB Editor must be able to produce pristine copy as well as edit to the DK Nation style guide. Ideally, the candidate is already familiar with AP style guide and has experience producing content in a fast-paced environment. The editor should also be well versed in SEO best practices, being able to quickly and concisely produce headlines for search. This person should also be able to collaborate with the full-time and part-time staff, bringing plenty of passion, enthusiasm and ideas for our baseball coverage.
