We are currently seeking a talented and driven digital editor to join our growing team. As a digital editor, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the digital content strategy across our digital portfolio. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of our digital business.
Key responsibilities:
Creation:
Create and commission digital-only content to drive audience growth and engagement, identifying and filling any content gaps and analysing search data to find out what our audience are currently looking for.
Identify and propose new content formats and enhancements to our platform’s UI / UX that can be strategically deployed across CIG’s digital portfolio.
Syndicate relevant content across CIG’s digital portfolio.
Stay informed about CIG brands and competitors, monitoring and highlighting new content ideas that can support our business objectives.
Work with the commercial teams to define innovative creative solutions, attending commercial brainstorming and client pitch meetings as required.
Share content on social media platforms.
Content planning:
Develop and define digital editorial guidelines, SEO practices and style guides.
Oversee the content management system (CMS), image library, video libraries, menu manager and tag manager, ensuring they align with strategic goals. Conduct CMS usability testing and provide recommendations for improvements and new content blocks.
Update TPN CMS training manuals and videos and provide CMS training to new CIG editors and private member partners.
Monitor CIG’s editorial output to ensure adherence to digital guidelines, including publishing frequency, SEO practices, accuracy, style, etc.
Utilise business insights, web analytics, learning dashboards, data analysis, and competitive analysis to monitor content performance on The Pharmacy Network.
Skills, knowledge, and experience:
Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or mass communication (relevant field).
Minimum of five years' experience in a similar role.
Experience in healthcare is advantageous.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with an understanding of digital writing requirements, including keywords, hyperlinks, and navigation.
Strong attention to detail, including exceptional spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
Good interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with contributors, designers, producers and developers.
Excellent organisational skills to manage material from multiple sources and meet tight deadlines.
