You'll work alongside a dedicated team of professionals who are committed to delivering accurate, timely, and impactful news to our diverse audience.

Role Overview:

As the Digital Editor, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the AJN's digital identity. In this senior editorial leadership role, you’ll be responsible for crafting engaging and relevant content, managing our online platforms, and driving audience growth. Your expertise will help us transition seamlessly into the digital era while maintaining the core values and integrity of our publication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute the digital content strategy across various online platforms.

- Manage and curate content for our website, social media channels, and other digital outlets.

- Create and edit compelling articles, videos, and multimedia content.

- Analyse audience engagement metrics to refine content strategy and improve reach.

- Collaborate with the Head of Content, News Editor, Head of Video, and editorial team to commission stories, and ensure consistent and high-quality content.

- Have your finger on the pulse of ever-evolving digital media trends and implement innovative ideas.

- Foster engagement and community building through online interactions.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication, Media Studies, or related field, or equivalent experience.

- Proven experience in digital content creation and management.

- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.

- Familiarity with optimal SEO principles, metadata, and digital analytics tools.

- Creative mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving digital trends.

- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.

- Knowledge of Jewish culture, community, and current affairs is a plus.
