The Dotdash Meredith Summer Internship Program is a 10 week full time program that runs from June 3rd through August 9th, based out of our New York office. The intern program consists of hands-on learning, opportunities to create work that has an impact on the business, along with workshops in preparing you for post-college life (resume / interviewing) plus, some fun events throughout the summer!
The rate for our DDM Summer Internship is $20/hour.

About the Role:
An intern on team BHG will have direct exposure to what it takes to operate a brand. They will be exposed to several departments, having the opportunity to collaborate with Print, SEO / Growth, Licensing, Commerce, Product, and Audience Relationships, among others, and will be given the chance to collaborate externally with PR teams and outside brands. Their day to day will consist of:
Working hand-in-hand with BHG's Associate Director of Special Projects, participating in daily operations behind key facets of the business: News, Social, and Quality Team.
Ideating, researching, writing, and editing content. Our intern will contribute and pitch story ideas to the BHG editorial team, keeping a close eye on industry trends on social media and in the competitive landscape.
Contributing ideas to the Social team, plus posting content, writing captions, and even filming video as desired.
Jumping in on ad hoc projects, especially those that come from our Growth team, where they will gain key skills in SEO and learn how to leverage data to enhance creative ideas.
By the end of their internship, they will be proficient in our vast suite of CMS tools and have been exposed to several data analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Looker, and Ahrefs.
About You:
Strong candidates for this role should have:
Experience writing and editing, particularly on topics in the general interest, home, or lifestyle space.
Outstanding organizational skills and an innate ability to pay attention to detail, keep track of deadlines, and balance multiple projects and assignments.
Strong writing, research, and copy-editing skills, with the ability to transform articles from mediocre to amazing.
Mastery of written English and the ability to edit stories based on style guides and/or content briefs with SEO top of mind.
The ability to develop expertise in various workflow tools, as well as collaborate with remote and contract editors and staff team members.
Progress toward an undergraduate degree, preferably in journalism, English, or communications.
Experience with content management systems and web analytics tools a plus.
