The Dotdash Meredith Fellowship Program offers candidates the opportunity to gain experience working with some of our most popular brands. The program runs from June 2024 to May 2025 and is one of our primary sources of hiring for entry-level roles!
Fellows work full time and earn $18 an hour.
Location: Birmingham, AL (onsite 5 days per week)
You will:
Conduct in-depth research and analysis of emerging food video trends and relevant data, with a specific emphasis on social media platforms.
Assist in video pre-production and post production workflows, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Review and copy edit videos.
Collaborate on ideas for new episodes of existing video series and new video formats and series.
Provide hands-on support as required during video productions, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to contribute across various aspects of the production process.
Maintain production records and documentation, utilizing tools like Airtable.
You have/are:
Strong research and analytical skills for identifying food trends and interpreting social media insights in the context of video content.
Excellent organizational abilities to maintain efficient workflows in pre-production and post-production, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Innovative and creative mindset for contributing ideas to enhance existing video programs and explore new opportunities in the food space, including generating engaging content concepts.
Versatility and willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to various aspects of video production when needed, with familiarity in production processes and terminology.
Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to articulate ideas, collaborate within a team, and convey enthusiasm, coupled with a genuine passion for the food industry and staying updated on the latest trends in both food and video production.
