Dotdash Meredith is seeking an experienced editor to work on content for several of our exceptional brands. As an updates editor, you will review and revise existing articles in order to elevate user experience, according to specific project instructions. We are looking for editors who can commit to between 20 and 40 hours of work each week. This project is temporary and expected to last three to six months, though there may be opportunities to continue the working relationship beyond that point. We are open to candidates with a variety of editorial backgrounds, but those with experience writing about lifestyle, finance, tech, or travel are especially encouraged to apply. The rate for these roles ranges from $25-$28 per hour.
About Your Contributions:
You will research and perform revisions or updates to content as needed according to specific project instructions and brand guidelines.
In some cases, you will use your editorial instinct to independently assess what work is necessary on a piece of content before performing an update.
You may also fact check and copy edit on top of any larger revisions and updates.
About You:
You have a strong editorial background, with at least 2 years of experience in the lifestyle, finance, tech, or travel verticals, preferably for a digital brand or magazine.
You adhere to strict brand and style guidelines like a pro.
You are comfortable working within a content management system.
You are comfortable working remotely and sticking to deadlines.
You are detail-oriented and able to work efficiently, independently, and accurately.
You have access to a smartphone, computer (not a tablet), and a secure internet connection.
