We’re looking for a collaborative content creator with a passion for travel to join our award-winning (and growing) team.
Dotdash Meredith Travel Marketing (DDMTM) is an industry leader in custom lifestyle travel content showcasing destinations and attractions throughout the country. DDMTM delivers top-tier programs across multiple platforms, incorporating innovative storytelling that raises the profile of our travel clients.
We seek a high-achieving candidate who will bring fresh approaches to narrative, content packaging and interactivity. Successful applicants will bring experience creating and editing strong content that engages consumers across diverse brand voices and styles. Ideal candidates will bring a love for travel and/or a curiosity to explore new places.
A knowledge of print, digital, voice and/or social platforms is a must for consideration. Preferred candidates will have experience in a client-facing position, so agency or similar customer service experience is beneficial.
Additional expectations:
Create outlines for custom stories, story packages, and issues through brainstorming, research, and creative ideation
Assign stories to writers and edit their contributions for brand qualities, freshness, and editorial precision
Write original, concise, and captivating copy that inspires, motivates, and activates targeted categories of travelers
Contribute to visual plans and conceptual content packages, communicating effectively with art directors and designers
Understand and execute within print media and social and digital platforms, including a full understanding of industry terminology
Deliver innovative solutions to achieve client goals
Route content through a multi-step review process in a timely manner.
Respond to and integrate editorial feedback from clients and other stakeholders
Organize all project timelines, files, and resources for efficiency and collaboration across the department
Adapt to shifting needs while working in a fast-paced environment
Present materials and recommendations to clients with polish and confidence
Manage and prioritize multiple projects and timelines
Ability to travel for client needs, content creation trips and in-market representation at tradeshows as needed.
A creative portfolio is a requirement for consideration.

Education:
BA in journalism, marketing or related field
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience that demonstrates exceptional writing and research skills; ability to craft messages for various audiences and platforms; familiarity with writing for web and social media; customer-facing project management experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong writing and editing skills; exceptional people and presentation skills; knowledge of and experience with digital platforms; strong interest in tourism market; ability to manage communication and work deliverables across multiple applications, including InDesign, Google Workspace/Microsoft Office, Slack/Teams, video conferencing, and more.
