Writer-Reporter, Style

I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.

The digital writer-reporter for the Style team will be responsible for exercising expert style news judgment in helping spot, pitch, report and write 5-8 traffic-driving news stories per day for PEOPLE.com. The writer-reporter will work in a fast-paced news environment and should be skilled at producing clean, dynamic copy with a quick turnaround, including during awards shows, Hollywood premieres and other style-centered events. A strong candidate should have contacts in the beauty & style space and comfortable conducting interviews with celebrity talent. Aptitude with pulling products for print and digital photo needs is also required.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.

Education: BA or BS

Experience: 2 years experience writing for a high volume, digital news operation.

Specific Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to work independently.
Strong writing skills, impeccable journalistic standards and attention to detail.
Ability to respond quickly to breaking news.
Strong basic reporting abilities.

Pay Range

Salary: $62,400 - $62,400

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
