About the Role:
The Dow Jones Newswires business team is seeking an agile, smart, energetic undergraduate student to join our team for the 2023-24 school year. We are looking for someone with a background in Business or Marketing with top-notch analytical skills. You will be working with our Analytics, Marketing and Sales Enablement teams to analyze, report, and document customer information and product feedback.
Our ideal candidate, who will report to the VP of Newswires Strategy and Planning, is detail-oriented and a fast learner. You will be learning about our product management processes and tools, as well as the various systems to analyze and report on user counts, feedback and commercial terms. We are looking for a go-getter with the desire to contribute to our fast-paced and technology-driven work environment. You must also work well with diverse teams and be able to take on initiatives and lead projects.
This role is Hybrid, based in our New York City or Princeton, NJ office.
You Will:
Analyze competitor products and positioning strategies
Perform analysis of products, customers and usage data
Conduct analysis of wins & losses and identify trends & opportunities
You Have:
Ability to prioritize, manage and execute tasks, while adhering to critical project timelines in a very fast-paced environment
Ability to develop new approaches to complex problems and convey these solutions simply, in the form of presentations, prototypes and specifications
Superb presentation and writing skills
Intellectual curiosity and willingness to express thoughts freely
A self-starter attitude and are able to collaborate actively with others in a cross-functional team
Completed at least 2 years of undergraduate study in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
NYC Pay Range: $21.00/hour
