Reporting to the Journalism Director, Research and Analysis you will be an important member in the OPIS Europe Spot Markets team, engaging with partners in the European hydrogen and solar sector to explore sector trends and opportunities, while producing price assessments, analytics, and news for daily publication.
You Will:
Partner engagement to lead product development in European hydrogen and solar pricing.
Use OPIS pricing methodology to publish price assessments.
Help develop an OPIS hydrogen analytics suite by gathering and analysing information across multiple databases.
Produce stories, analysis and content for news service as well as longer, more analytical content focusing on industry trends and emerging issues.
Occasional travel.
You Have:
Networking skills for partner engagement is crucial to succeed in this role.
A minimum of 3 years price reporting or market analyst experience, preferably on power.
Numerical skills and a working knowledge of PowerBI and Python.
Knowledge of hydrogen and power markets in Europe is ideal, though you should have the curiosity about industry trends and be able to break down sometimes complex regulatory and market issues into accurate and easily understood content.
A bachelor’s degree in journalism, economics, or related field.
Passion to track and cover the ongoing energy transition.
