The Dow Jones Marketing team is seeking an SEO Manager to join our Performance Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving subscriptions growth and optimizing commerce pages by leveraging search engine optimization (SEO) strategies. As an integral part of the team, you will collaborate closely with the product team and newsrooms to identify opportunities where search platforms can be utilized to attract new subscribers.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to increase organic traffic, drive subscriptions growth, and improve search engine rankings across Dow Jones' digital properties.

Conduct in-depth keyword research and analysis to identify high-value opportunities for content optimization and creation.

Collaborate with the product team to optimize website architecture, metadata, and content structure to enhance search visibility and user experience.

Perform regular website audits to identify technical issues, crawlability, and indexation challenges, and recommend solutions for improved SEO performance.

Monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools and platforms, such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and third-party SEO software.

Stay up-to-date with search engine algorithm changes, industry trends, and best practices to ensure Dow Jones remains at the forefront of SEO strategies.

Collaborate with the newsrooms to identify opportunities for leveraging search platforms to attract new subscribers, particularly on commerce pages.

Provide SEO guidance and training to content creators and editors to optimize content for search engines while maintaining editorial integrity.

Conduct competitive analysis to identify gaps and opportunities, benchmark performance against industry peers, and recommend actionable strategies to stay ahead in search rankings.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, analytics, and technology, to align SEO initiatives with business goals and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEO, preferably in a digital publishing or media organization.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Proven track record of successfully implementing SEO strategies that resulted in organic traffic growth, improved search rankings, and increased conversions.

Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.

Experience working with content management systems (CMS) and familiarity with website development and coding principles.

Proficiency in SEO tools and platforms, such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz, or similar.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for optimization.

Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and experience optimizing commerce pages for search engines is a plus.

Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
