E&E News is looking for a strong reporter to help us maintain our dominance of environment and energy coverage on Capitol Hill. Our Hill team is a dedicated and collaborative group. Those eight reporters get scoops, deliver analysis pieces, and write features that help put the pieces together for our smart and well-connected subscribers. Our reporters also travel to cover political campaigns and see first-hand how Washington politics affects the world beyond the Beltway.
What You'll Do:
You’ll be E&E News’ eyes and ears at the Capitol, roaming the halls and talking to lawmakers and other sources.
You'll scour spending bills and keep track of major legislation.
You'll track trends and develop relationships with key players.
You'll write clean, crisp copy that both keeps our readers abreast of what’s happening now and – more importantly – what’s going to happen.
What You'll Need:
Clips showing you can deliver scoops as well as cover spot news and enterprise reporting.
A deep understanding of Congress and campaigns.
Strong interest in covering energy and environment issues.
