Editor, Digital

Skybound Entertainment is seeking a skilled Video Editor to collaborate with our skilled producers and talent in creating digital content with a focus on comedy, gaming, and geek genres. As a member of the Digital team, you will play a crucial role in shaping Skybound’s audience-first digital content. The ideal candidate will have a digital-first point of view when it comes to content creation, with a mastery of comedic timing, current trends, and industry forecasts. Experience with motion graphics is a plus.

Reports: This position will report to the Director, Digital

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Contribute to the assessment of opportunities to create meaningful audience first digital content with an emphasis on comedy, gaming, and geek genres
Edit digital videos, vodcasts, trailers, and sizzles for Skybound programming.
Collaborate with and guide other creators and outside vendors.
Oversee, edit and/or manage all deliverables for assigned projects, including digital assets and respective promotional materials, such as videos, stills, graphics, and text descriptions.
Create and track a detailed production and postproduction schedule and ensure milestones are being met
Liaise with digital producers to negotiate, generate, and manage the post-production lifecycle
Work closely with various verticals to execute necessary creative assets in line with brand voice and expectations
Coordinate review cycles with stakeholders and oversees the harmonious completion of projects
Ensure all creative deliverables and assets adhere to standards and manage QC through post and delivery; Monitor post-production processes in order to ensure accurate completion of all video creation.
Assist in putting forward the best production team members for each job, including editors, vfx specialists, motion designers, sound designers, and colorists.
Manage and track music licenses and contracts, as needed.
Source and track creative assets, as needed.
Stay current on industry and technology trends and foster innovative production solutions.
Actualize and archive all projects; Maintain documentation and dashboards that allow for a quick and efficient understanding of resource capacity and project status.

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years experience in a post-production environment as an active editor.
Professional level experience with Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of project management tools such as Monday.com or AirTable.
Strong comedy storytelling skills in video
Experience in audio or podcasting post-production.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols in select work settings or where jurisdictionally mandated.

Job Type: Regular, Full-Time

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000

Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc.
The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees
