The Kentucky New Era is looking for its next editor - someone to drive coverage of local news, events and features that resonate in the community. This is traditional community journalism with a modern bent – we are a three-day print product that publishes digitally when warranted. The editor directs coverage for the New Era and two sister weeklies and is an active contributor to the report, both in terms of writing and photography. Staff includes two full-time reporters, a sports reporter and stringers. The New Era is also part of a regional group that coordinates news and sports reporting resources when possible. The New Era is based in Hopkinsville, and is home to Fort Campbell, a growing industrial sector and a large agricultural community. We are 30 minutes from the recreational opportunities of Land Between the Lakes and an hour from the urban offerings of Nashville. The New Era is part of the family-owned Paxton Media Group, which has more than 80 newspapers from Arkansas to North Carolina, Michigan to Tennessee.
