The Latrobe Bulletin, based in historic Latrobe, PA, which is home to legends like Arnold Palmer & Mister Rogers, and hosts the Steelers Training Camp each summer, is seeking a talented, motivated Editor. This position plans, coordinates and executes coverage in and around Latrobe, Ligonier, Derry and surrounding communities. This role will have the opportunity to lead the dedicated, talented newsroom staff of the Latrobe Bulletin, our weekly Ligonier Echo and latrobebulletinnews.com through another year of unprecedented growth in digital audience.

Editorial Leadership: Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and an overall quality product- in print and online.

Personal Involvement: Opportunity to be an individual contributor. Whether it is through reinvention of our editorial pages; a local reporting beat; etc.

Team Management: Lead from the front. Set the bar. To use a favorite Mlke Tomlin quote “The standard is the standard.” Bring a positive attitude, inspire the team for greatness, and roll up your sleeves and help show them the way.

Local Focus: Local, Local, Local.

Digital & Print Expertise: We have a loyal print audience that deserves an excellent daily newspaper. Our growth area is online. We need a newsroom leader who understands that balance, and can optimize, plan, budget and execute content accordingly.

Requirements:

· Excellent writing, editing, and leadership skills- demonstrated in a newsroom.

· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally internally and externally; at all levels, including executive leadership, staff, readers, community leaders, and officials.

· Strong organizational skills to plan and meet deadlines effectively.

Details:
