Arizona News Service, a subsidiary of BridgeTower Media, is seeking an experienced, digitally savvy Editor who can work with a strong team to create quality journalism. The editor position will be responsible for leading a staff of four reporters in daily coverage of Arizona politics and state government for the Arizona Capitol Times, a daily digital publication (M-F) that includes a weekly print edition, and the Yellow Sheet Report, a daily newsletter (M-F) for a political insider audience.

What skills does the job require?

Five or more years of strong journalism experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to lead.
Proven experience in writing, editing and proofreading content.
Proven experience with government reporting.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience with public speaking.
Ability to build strong relationships with key news sources.
Reliable home internet connection with minimum 50mbps up/10mbps down
