FinTech Intel is on the hunt for a junior editor with excellent journalism and copywriting skills to establish www.fintech-intel.com as a must-read source of news, views and analysis in the financial technology sector while establishing the tone, voice and brand of its emerging awards ceremonies and conferences. This is a new role and you will need to hit the ground running. You will be in charge of updating the website with three to four news stories per day - these will come from press releases and other sources, plus you will hunt out exclusives and secure comment from relevant parties to make your copy unique. You will also carry out, write and publish at least three one-on-one interviews with fintech executives, venture capitalists and other sector experts per month, all with a view to establishing FinTech Intel as the place to find out all the latest goings on in the sector. As junior editor, you will take a leading role in marketing and promoting FinTech Intel's range of events and conferences. There are currently four awards ceremonies in the FinTech Intel stable, focused on the UK, Europe, the US and Asia, with more planned. Each of these events will require you to produce and publish blog and social media posts and marketing emails to promote the brand, attract entrants and encourage attendance. You will also engage with finalists and winners, conducting interviews to highlight their achievements, and create a library of guides to the entry process.
