Assistant Managing Editor

The Assistant Managing Editor role for Education Week is a vital position in our news operation as these editors are most directly responsible for planning coverage and guiding our reporting efforts. At the same time, these editors sit at the forefront of our strategic imperative to develop deep expertise in the audience communities we serve. In our newsroom, each Assistant Managing Editor is responsible for supervising 2-4 reporters while also acting as our resident expert on one of the five main audience groups we serve (district leaders, principals, teachers, policy and industry leaders, and higher education professionals).
