Engadget is hiring its first-ever security reporter! For this newly created position, we’re looking for an enterprising journalist who can serve as our resident cybersecurity expert, writing a mix of spot news, original reporting, explainers, reviews and well-researched buying guides. In this role, you’ll be covering everything from ransomware attacks to data breaches to security tools. We recognize that cybersecurity can be a dense, highly technical topic, and so we’re looking for someone who understands the space well enough to distill it into digestible terms for a broad audience. When you’re not making sense of the news of the day, we will also ask you to produce and maintain buying guides and “best of” lists for security software such as VPNs and password managers.
