QBS is seeking English-language writers and editors to assist in the development of an early childhood literacy program for Texas. Writers and editors will be asked to adapt existing content to align with Texas standards and incorporate feedback from a variety of stakeholders. Writers and editors will ensure the internal coherence and consistency of the program.
Required:
In-depth knowledge of early childhood literacy teaching in the United States
Experience with educational content and curriculum development in English Language
Strong writing skills and attention to detail
Ability to write/edit materials aligned to published standards; ability to incorporate feedback into rewrites on tight timelines; ability to adhere to provided content and style guidelines
Ability to attend meetings during U.S. working hours
Preferred:
Prior textbook/educational content publishing experience
Experience working with TEKS and curriculum designed especially for Texas
Experience with developing or evaluating early childhood Scope and Sequence
Classroom experience a plus
