Copywriter & PR Executive

We’re looking for an experienced copywriter to join our growing marketing team, helping to make eurochange the first choice for travel money services. Your tasks will be a combination of producing content and distributing it to the media, helping us secure coverage.

This is a fast-paced role, where you’ll work closely with the PR & editorial manager, wider marketing team and our external partners to develop new content, building a rich experience for our staff and customers. Providing support to the digital marketing team, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of content and copywriting tasks across multiple channels and platforms, as well as uploading website content via a CMS and liaising with media contacts.

The successful candidate will have every opportunity to work proactively, grow and develop professionally, with direct access to and support from industry experts.

We’re a newly formed digital team, with a fresh direction and clear strategy for the next 3 years and beyond to evolve our customer experience online and in-branch. This starts with the digital team and the experience we provide to our customers, so your role as Copywriter and PR Exec will be core to the mission.

About you

The successful candidate will be an outstanding writer and proofreader, with impeccable attention to detail. You will have a strong understanding of PR and marketing, with a keen interest in developing skills in media relations.

You will be a self-starter, able to work autonomously and on your own initiative. You’ll already be a talented copywriter, comfortable with wearing many hats and getting stuck in to lead change from the front. You’ll thrive on crafting enchanting copy for every customer or explorer, and maybe star in the odd TikTok or two…

How you’ll support our mission…

As Copywriter and PR exec, you'll be instrumental in advancing our mission to create moments that matter for each and every customer or explorer.

Copywriting

· Working closely with an external agency to develop our SEO and ensure we’re providing a valuable user experience.

· Generating informative, accessible and SEO-rich copy (such as FAQs, page copy and articles) for both Eurochange’s and our white-label partners’ digital platforms. This will often involve translating ‘industry-speak’ into language that’s engaging and easy to understand for the average consumer, while maintaining brand tone of voice.

· Producing customer email copy, working with the wider team to create engaging, high-performing communications.

· Uploading web copy via a CMS (full training will be provided).

Ideation

· Working with the PR & editorial manager and wider team to generate concept and campaign ideas.

· Researching industry and consumer trends across products, services, web searches, competitors and more.

Internal comms

· Supporting the generation and distribution of internal communications, keeping our staff updated with business activity.

Creating online branch information

· Generating listings copy (e.g. maps and directories such as Google Maps and Yelp) to enhance our branches’ visibility.

PR outreach

· Distributing content to the media (both consumer and trade press).

· Providing support in securing media coverage, and building effective media relationships.

General copywriting and proofreading

· Generating copy for a wide range of brand and branch materials, such as posters, signage and other promotional materials.

· Writing ad copy for offline activities such as press pieces and radio ad scripts.

· Proofreading and editing materials produced by the wider team, ensuring accuracy, compliance and appropriate tone of voice.

The stand-out experience and skills we're looking for...

· Excellent copywriting skills and grammatical accuracy across both digital and offline channels.

· A keen interest in PR and digital marketing, particularly around SEO and the media.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to work effectively under pressure, while managing various projects, concurrently.

· Demonstrable research skills

· Ability to work within a brand tone of voice

· Proficiency in translating dry or technical materials into consumer-friendly content

The following skills and experience are desirable but not required, as full training will be given:

· Experience of working with CMS platforms

· Experience of or a keen interest in building and managing PR and media relations
