Senior Technial Writer

Eyelit Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. As a Sr. Technical Writer at Eyelit, you will play a pivotal role in creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for our SaaS products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, engineering, and customer support to deliver documentation that enhances the user experience and ensures effective product utilization. The role will also contribute to the development of software training material, marketing content, and internal and external communications.

Core Responsibilities

· Develop comprehensive and high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, release notes, and online help content.

· Collaborate with product managers, software developers, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy in technical documentation.

· Translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable and accessible documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Maintain documentation consistency and adherence to style guides while ensuring content reflects the latest product features and updates.

· Works closely with the quality assurance team to test and validate documentation against product functionality.

· Conduct regular reviews and updates of existing documentation to align with evolving product features and improvements.

· Participate in the development and maintenance of a documentation knowledge base to facilitate internal and external user support.

· Participate in the development of software product training material, marketing content, and internal and external communications.

· Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and advancements in technology to enhance the quality and relevance of documentation.

What We Require

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related fields from an accredited college or university; experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

· At least 8+ years of experience is a technical writer, preferably in a SaaS or software development environment; manufacturing experience highly preferred.

· Strong understanding of software development concepts and technologies.

· Proficiency in documentation tools like HelpStudio

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

· Detail oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality documentation.

· Familiarity with agile development mythologies is a plus.
