Copy and Production Editor

CQ Roll Call seeks a versatile and experienced journalist with excellent news judgment and superior editing skills who can shape and polish content for all CQ Roll Call platforms and products. This editor will be part of the production team and edit breaking news and enterprise about policy and politics in partnership with assignment editors. This role is what some newsrooms would call a news editor or an editor-at-large – someone with responsibilities that include copy editing and production duties and, on occasion, assignment editing, content editing and team supervision. This editor is an excellent wordsmith who can write sharp headlines and alerts and can produce smart website updates and engaging social media posts. You can expect to help with newspaper production and website management, including updating home fronts and web pages. This editor will also be called on to occasionally manage a team when an assignment editor is away.
