The Temporary Associate Producer and Editor will be responsible for the coordination, production, post-production and delivery of all video assets related Forbes in-studio and anchor driven video programming. This is both a technical and administrative video role reporting to the Senior Producer.

Responsibilities:

Review daily schedules with Breaking News Video team and anchors, and plan production.
Assist in scripting anchor copy as needed
Review, clip and prep raw, source video assets in real time
Shoot all content taking place in studio
Set up studio, adjusting lighting, background, audio and camera
Set up remote guest feeds utilizing Vmix Call, Zoom, etc.
Live switch camera and remote feeds, recording all content live-to-tape
Stream studio feed live for cloud capture as needed
Monitor and ensure capture and stream quality
Coordinate with EP, supervising producers and reporters on all in-studio programming
Schedule studio time for all content, including coordination with outside guests
Shoot and edit all video deliverables as directed by supervising producer
Edit final video deliverables
Build news video packages, editing together anchor reads with appropriate raw source video
Add lower thirds, timestamps and additional graphic elements, inclusive of any necessary copy writing
Adhere to all style and brand guidelines as directed by Creative Director, Video
Encode content per specs outlined by EP
Upload finished video assets to final delivery platforms as directed by Deputy Director, Breaking News Video and supervising producer(s)
Work across several productions simultaneously

The ideal candidate:

2+ years of experience in live video production in a technical producer or comparable role
Ability to work in our Jersey City and Manhattan studios daily
A demonstrable history of creating high quality live video, involved from concept through delivery
Expert in the live video ecosystem (vMix, Blackmagic ATEM, Web Presenter, Wirecast, OBS, etc.) and deep overall understanding of all technical aspects of live and remote video production
Interest in and knowledge of political and international news a must
Lighting fast in Premiere Pro, After Effect and well versed in all Adobe Creative Suite software
A highly collaborative work ethic and the ability to compromise without compromising quality
Extremely organized to the point of multiple simultaneous projects being second nature
The ability to create high production value even with small budgets
Unflappable under pressure with tight deadlines

The hourly rate for this role is $28.00 - $38.00
