Forbes Advisor UK is part of the global network of Forbes Advisor websites whose purpose is to help readers make smart, informed financial decisions with topical news and features, trustworthy surveys, comprehensive data- and SEO-driven journalism, and in-depth product reviews.
We’re looking for an experienced, knowledgeable journalist who will be able to produce well-researched, engaging articles, news stories and in-depth guides/reviews. We cover a wide range of financial topics, including saving & investing, mortgages, insurance, energy & home services, and small business issues, all through the lens of what the reader needs to know to make informed decisions wherever they are in their financial journey.
The successful applicant will have a good working knowledge of the UK’s personal finance and small business sectors and will be comfortable writing in-depth features and news stories, as well as contributing to the editorial planning process.

Responsibilities:
Write helpful, accurate and engaging features and news-related stories, how-tos, round-ups, best-ofs and product reviews. Alongside those core articles,the Forbes Advisor UK team provides stories looking at the personal-finance implications of news developments alongside insightful, long-form features, deep dives and explainers
Update evergreen and survey content as required
Brainstorm and generate ideas and coordinate with editors to bring them to life
Leverage data and SEO best practices when writing and reporting
Represent Forbes Marketplace as a subject matter expert for PR purposes.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in consumer finance and/or business journalism. This role may also suit a journalist working in the financial B2B press, a content creator at a financial organisation, or a financial PR executive. We believe that variety of experience can offer valuable knowledge and perspective for our growing team
Strong understanding of the consumer finance and small business spaces, with enthusiasm to plug any knowledge gaps
Knowledge of SEO purpose, objectives and best practices
Accurate, self-motivated, organised, and capable of contributing to the editorial planning process
Willing and able to participate in the editorial management and ongoing curation of a fast-paced and growing website
Familiarity with Google Suite and WordPress an advantage, but willingness to learn our systems and processes is most important
Nimble and open to quick changes in strategy and coverage needs.
