Forbes Vetted is seeking a Senior Branded Content Editor who will be responsible for assigning and editing (and writing if need be) Forbes Vetted paid/sponsored content, which currently consists of paid inclusions in product guides, roundups, reviews, newsletters and social campaigns. You will work closely with the business development and partnerships team (sales and account management) to brainstorm new client offerings as well as plan and execute sponsored content packages. This role will also coordinate with the editorial team to ensure paid content is on-brand and aligns with the greater editorial strategy of Forbes Vetted. This role reports to the Managing Editor.
Responsibilities:
Ownership of paid content planning and execution
Working in partnership with the Vetted business development and editorial teams to create compelling sponsored content
Recruiting and onboarding freelance writers
Directly managing two paid content editors with the opportunity to grow your team further
Managing the sponsored content calendar in conjunction with the Forbes Vetted branded content editor and managing editor
Participating in sales event content planning and assisting with coverage
Planning the edit calendar with guidance from the deputy editor and senior strategy editor
Assisting with social and newsletter paid content creation
Partnering with the business intelligence team to analyze content performance and develop actionable insights to maximize content performance
Tracking content performance against team and individual goals

The ideal candidate:
Has 5-7+ years of experience working on branded content at a major media website, with at least 1-2+ years of experience managing a branded content team of editors and writers
Is a generalist able to cover a wide range of categories such as home, fashion, sleep and tech; ideally, has prior experience writing and/or editing hands-on product reviews
Has an expert grasp of digital strategy, commerce strategy and SEO best practices, plus prior experience developing and executing on sponsored content strategy
Has impeccable writing, editing and reporting skills
Is user-focused and understands editorial independence, but can deftly balance this with the needs of the business
Has experience working within a collaborative editorial team; thrives working cross-functionally with both internal and external partners
Is eager to innovate and experiment editorially to help grow the Forbes Vetted audience
Loves to solve complex problems and streamline multilayered workflows; can quickly learn and adapt to new tools and processes
Is extremely organized, detail-oriented and operations-minded
The annual base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $122,000.
