E-Commerce Editor

Fortune is looking for an editor to help launch our new personal finance e-commerce initiative. This editor must have an extensive knowledge of personal finance, a dedication to creating high quality service journalism, and an understanding of the competitive e-commerce space. They will be responsible for growing a team of writers and freelancers and work cross-functionally across Fortune to achieve the goal of building the new section’s audience and growing its revenue. The editor will be responsible for the section’s big picture goals, including developing the content, social, and distribution strategies. They also must be willing to jump in and help with day-to-day responsibilities that come with growing a small but nimble team. Finally, we are looking for a team player, as our newsroom thrives on collaboration, experimentation, and telling great stories across platforms.
