We are looking for a full-time Sports Reporter to join Fox News Audio. In this position, you will write, produce, and voice several reports an hour for our SiriusXM satellite channel, Fox News Headlines 24/7. As the Sports Reporter, you will report on and cover scores, stories, live events, and breaking news to a national audience. You will also file reports for our terrestrial network newscasts and affiliate partner stations. This is a fast-moving environment! Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven newsroom allows you to deliver top-quality sports reports. You excel at multi-tasking and pay close attention to details. Your writing and editing skills are excellent and your editorial judgment is first-rate.
The regular schedule for this position is Monday-Friday during the hours of approximately 3 pm ET to 11 pm ET in office, with changes dependent on various sporting events.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Cover breaking sports news, events, stories, and scores
Provide live reports on air for multiple audio departments, as well as produce taped content for off-hours
Manage and keep clear communication with Editors, Assignment desk, and Anchors
Present all stories, original, breaking, and aggregated, in an accessible, consistent, and compelling style

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
5+ years of national or major market experience covering sports, news is a plus
Ability to provide a clear and crisp writing style, while maintaining a casual delivery
Must have a firm knowledge base of sports and have the desire to quickly and accurately present the sports news of the day to a large listening audience
Ability to work under deadlines/pressure in a fast-paced newsroom environment is crucial
Audio editing proficiency (Adobe Audition, Cool-Edit, etc.)
Solid news judgment & a passion for accuracy
Excellent writing, production, and communication skills
Collaborate closely with editors and fellow reporters
