The Inclusive AI is seeking a talented Editor to join our team on a contract basis. This role is perfect for individuals who are proficient in editing and proofreading a wide range of content types, including white papers, blogs, press releases, and marketing materials.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in editorial excellence, and a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring our content and community activities resonate with a diverse audience and amplify underrepresented voices in AI.

Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Content Editing: Review and refine white papers, blogs, press releases, marketing materials, and other assets, ensuring they are clear, engaging, and adhere to the highest editorial standards.
Quality Assurance & Consistency: Ensure all content is grammatically correct, free of spelling errors (American English), written in an active voice, and maintains a consistent style and tone, aligning with our editorial guidelines.
Story Enhancement: Work closely with writers to enhance storytelling, improving the overall flow and impact of articles, and ensuring each piece tells a compelling story that resonates with our audience.
Collaborative Content Development: Actively collaborate with the writing team to refine and elevate their work, providing constructive feedback and guidance to maintain a high-quality content output.
Guideline Development & Maintenance: Assist in creating and updating the editing guide and checklist, ensuring all team members have clear standards for style, voice, and quality, promoting consistency across all published content.

Experience:

Editorial Experience: Proven track record in editorial roles, with experience in guiding content from ideation through to publication, particularly in the fields of AI, technology, or related areas.
Diverse Content Editing: Demonstrated ability in editing a variety of content types, including white papers, blogs, press releases, marketing materials, and other editorial assets, with a focus on clarity, engagement, and accuracy.
Proofreading Expertise: Strong proficiency in proofreading, with a keen eye for grammatical correctness, spelling errors (American English), and adherence to style guides.
SEO and Web Analytics Understanding: Basic knowledge of SEO practices and web analytics, with the ability to apply insights to content strategy for increased visibility.
Advanced Communication Abilities: Has strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
