Freelance Grant Writer

OVERVIEW: Freelance, 1099 Contracted Role focused on grant research and writing.

TASKS:

Write a minimum of 5 grant proposals a month. (A minimum ROI and success rate of 50% is expected. Annual non-government grant fundraising goal is $500k. Approximately $1.2M of our grant revenue is from restricted government grants.)
Research new grant opportunities.
Maintain an updated grants submission calendar and status tracking report.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in related field.
3 + years demonstrated grant-writing or similar writing experience with a track record of 50%+ funded proposals.
Local to the greater Phoenix, AZ area strongly preferred.
Completion of the 3 R's Trusted Adult Ally training to fully embrace and articulate the impact of bloom365.
SKILLS:

Excellent grant writing and organizational skills.
Ability to translate project budgets and draft concepts into concise grant narratives.
Self-starter with the ability to jump right in and go!
Deadline oriented.
Strong time management skills.
Whiz at spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Rule follower- laser sharp focus on following RFP instructions and grant application requirements
Experience with writing and securing capacity building grant awards strongly preferred.
